I don’t know about you but I feel like I am constantly paying bills and I want to cry every bill pay day! I know I could simplify my life and cut out a lot of the luxuries like internet, cable and cell phone data but who wants to live without those things?! I don’t know if I could survive! These are a few things that I do to keep the cost down on my monthly bills so that I can still afford the things I enjoy.
I love shopping, but I also love finding great deals! Today I am going to share my favorite websites & apps that will give you cash back on your online and in-store purchases. Who wouldn’t want free money back from their purchases?! These cash back sites and apps are all very easy to use and don’t take too much time to get started and continue using. Since I am a huge fan of online shopping, these rebate sites are my favorite and I don’t buy anything without checking for deals first.
Over the past couple months, I have gotten really strict with my budgeting. I am horrible with budgets and amazing with spending money. But this needed to stop. My hubby and I had a few “fun years” where we didn’t care about saving money, planning for the future or paying off debt. We were making over $120,000 per year between the two of us and had nothing to show for it.
Over the past few years, I have fallen in love with DIY sugar scrubs! What I love most about these sugar scrub recipes is the price! Store bought body products can be expensive so why pay the extra money for something that is quick & easy to make? Before I started making my own sugar scrubs, I would very rarely spend the money on them (because I’m cheap!) and would make one jar/tub last for a year or longer. Since I have started making my own scrubs, I use them almost daily and my skin always feels amazing!
I love shopping but, unfortunately, my budget doesn’t! I am constantly looking for ways to support my shopping
addiction habit without breaking the bank. The past few years I’ve been buying most of my clothes online in order to save money, plus I enjoy it more. Online shopping allows me to take the time to search for the best deals and there is also a much larger selection online. It is amazing how many items $50 can get you at online stores compared to shopping at the mall. This is a list of the awesome clothing stores that I have found that are very affordable, have extremely cute clothes and a great variety if things to buy.
Vacations can be expensive, especially if you take the whole family! A couple months ago we went to Lake Tahoe for a 10 days family vacation. We stressed about how we were going to pay for this vacation for several months. We originally estimated that this trip would cost over $8000, but with some careful planning and minor sacrifices we were able to reduce that price and set a budget of $3000. We actually came in under budget and only spent $2600 for the entire trip! If you are planning a vacation, or avoiding going on vacation because of cost, these tips might help you!
I am always looking for ways to save money. Most of my monthly bills I have no control over what the payment will be. They have a set amount that I pay each month whether I like it or not. So, when it comes to my utility bills, I have always tried to keep them as low as possible! Here are a some easy things that I do to keep my electric cost down:
